Our reading group first started meeting in April
1992. Mostly based in London, we continued to meet once a month or so
for 15 years. And then in 2006/7 Martine moved to Cyprus, Sam to New
Zealand and Nicki to Canada. So now we are a virtual group, reading
fewer but bigger and supposedly more challenging books, and exchanging
our views on Skype, email, blogs etc. We will continue to use this site
to record our comments on the books we've read.
So you will find on this site information about
the group and details of all the books we have read. Each book page
contains some or all of the following: a synopsis, first lines,
published reviews, our comments, useful links to other related
resources and an email link so you can send us your comments on the
books we've read. In addition you can suggest books you think we should
read. We hope you enjoy exploring the site.
